Remix: Homeland Insecurity & Slam Bang Blue is Barakeh's first public art piece. Remix combines excerpts from earlier animations Homeland Insecurity and Slam Bang Blue and was simultaneously screened in Times Square on ZAZ Corner's Jumbotron, located at the corner of 41st Street and 7th Avenue in New York, and on the San Francisco Art Institute Tower in 2020. The animation uses the Times Square Jumbotron as an advertising tool to present a counter-war narrative within the city of capitalism, whereas it uses the San Francisco Art Institute's Tower to evoke historical Crusader wars. Remix was part of the exhibition Tunnels of the Mind, curated by Orit Ben-Shitrit.
